Aprilia SR 125: Entry-Level Sportiness with an Updated Edge

The Aprilia SR 125 serves as the entry point into Aprilia’s premium scooter lineup in India. Relaunched in November 2021, this refreshed version brings updated styling and features, priced at ₹1.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It’s available in four striking colours — Red, White, Blue, and Grey — all adorned with sharp, sporty graphics that enhance its aggressive road presence.

On the design front, the SR 125 now sports a reworked front end featuring a stylish dual-tone finish and a glossy black headlamp housing accented with newly sculpted air scoops. The LED headlamp cluster is more angular and aggressive, flanked by integrated indicators and matte black inserts for a sharper visual appeal. Enhancements also include a revised seat design and a fully-digital instrument console, offering better ergonomics and improved rider information.

Under the bodywork, the SR 125 continues with its proven 124.45 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 3-valve SOHC engine. This motor delivers a peppy 9.79 bhp at 7700 rpm and 9.70 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm, paired with a CVT transmission for smooth and responsive performance in city conditions.

Dimensionally, the scooter remains unchanged, measuring 1985 mm in length, 806 mm in width, and 1365 mm in wheelbase. It rolls on 14-inch alloy wheels with 120/70-section tubeless tyres at both ends, ensuring a planted and confident ride. Stopping power comes from a front disc brake and rear drum, backed by a Combi-Braking System (CBS) for added safety. Fuel tank capacity remains at 6 litres, supporting longer city rides without frequent stops.
