Aprilia Tuono V4
Description
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia has launched the 2021 RSV4 and Tuono 1100 in India, both featuring a host of upgrades. The RSV4 is priced at ₹23.69 lakh, while the Tuono 1100 comes in at ₹20.66 lakh (ex-showroom). These high-performance machines are imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs) and are available through Aprilia’s Motoplex dealerships across the country.
The 2021 RSV4 is a fully-faired superbike powered by a 1099 cc V4 engine, delivering a thrilling 210.7 bhp and 125 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the Tuono 1100 gets a 1077 cc V4 engine that produces 170.1 bhp and 122 Nm of torque. Both bikes come mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Internationally, these updated models made their debut late last year, now complying with the stringent Euro5/BS6 emission norms and featuring refreshed styling.
In terms of weight, the RSV4 has a kerb weight of 209 kg, while the Tuono is slightly lighter at 202 kg. The RSV4 also stands out with its advanced semi-active suspension setup, comprising Smart EC 2.0 USD forks and a monoshock at the rear—both sourced from Ohlins. Braking duties are handled by Brembo hardware, featuring radial calipers at the front and floating calipers at the rear.
Both motorcycles come equipped with Aprilia’s cutting-edge APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) system, which offers an array of electronic aids such as multiple ECU maps, engine braking control, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, cruise control, and a speed limiter. Riders can also choose from six riding modes—three dedicated to road use and three tailored for track performance.
