MAHINDRA
Description
The Mahindra XUV 3XO has been introduced in India as a significantly updated iteration of the XUV300. It marks a substantial improvement over its predecessor, especially in terms of styling. The SUV features a completely redesigned front fascia with updated headlamps, a larger front grille, and distinctive C-shaped taillamps connected by a light bar. The interior is also new, bearing a close resemblance to the cabin design of the electric XUV400 Pro. The model is offered in nine variants – MX1, MX2, MX2 Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5 L, AX7, and AX7 L – with prices ranging from ₹7.49 lakh to ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
In its top-tier versions, the XUV 3XO boasts several segment-first features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and an electronic parking brake. It also includes premium offerings like leatherette upholstery, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Alexa voice control, a Harman Kardon seven-speaker audio system, wireless charging, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, and AdrenoX-powered connected car features.
On the safety front, the XUV 3XO comes well-equipped with a 360-degree camera system and Level 2 ADAS capabilities. These include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and blind spot detection. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, disc brakes on all wheels, three-point seatbelts and reminders for all passengers, a front passenger airbag deactivation switch, and ISOFIX mounts for child seats. Additional safety tech includes hill descent and hill hold control, vehicle dynamics control, and traction control.
Under the hood, the SUV offers a choice of three engines – two petrol and one diesel. The entry-level 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 110 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, while the more powerful 1.2-litre ‘mStallion’ T-GDi engine produces around 130 bhp and 230 Nm. The 1.5-litre turbo-diesel variant generates 115 bhp and 300 Nm. All engine options are offered with manual transmissions. For automatics, both petrol engines are paired with a six-speed torque converter from Aisin, whereas the diesel variant is equipped with a six-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).
