BMW 5 Series
Description
BMW India has introduced the refreshed 2021 5 Series, with prices beginning at ₹65.4 lakh for the 530i M Sport and going up to ₹74.5 lakh for the top-spec 530d M Sport (ex-showroom, India). This mid-life update brings a host of design enhancements, tech upgrades, and new features.
On the outside, the facelifted 5 Series sports redesigned L-shaped LED DRLs, full-LED Adaptive headlamps, reworked front and rear bumpers, smoked LED taillights, and newly designed alloy wheels. M Sport variants are further equipped with BMW’s LaserLight technology, offering improved visibility up to 650 metres.
Inside the cabin, the sedan boasts two 12.3-inch displays—one for the digital instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system, now upgraded to support Android Auto in addition to Apple CarPlay. BMW’s latest iDrive 7.0 enhances the user experience with greater personalization options. The 530i features sport seats, while the 530d gets comfort seats, both finished in Sensatec perforated trim with multiple colour choices.
Other notable features include ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, BMW Virtual Assistant, gesture control, Harman Kardon premium audio, a head-up display, and more.
Powertrain options include a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel, and a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine. All variants come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. Safety and handling are bolstered by Adaptive Suspension, six airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), and a suite of advanced safety technologies.
