Aprilia RSV4 & Tuono 1100 (2021): Italian Performance with Premium Precision

Aprilia brought two of its high-performance icons to India in 2021 — the RSV4 and the Tuono 1100, both arriving with significant upgrades. These motorcycles are imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs) and are retailed exclusively through Aprilia’s Motoplex dealerships across the country. The RSV4 is priced at ₹23.69 lakh, while the Tuono 1100 comes in at ₹20.66 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

The 2021 RSV4, Aprilia’s fully-faired superbike, is powered by a monstrous 1099 cc V4 engine, producing a staggering 210.7 bhp and 125 Nm of torque. In contrast, the Tuono 1100, a naked streetfighter, uses a 1077 cc V4 motor delivering 170.1 bhp and 122 Nm. Both are paired to a slick 6-speed gearbox, and the engines now comply with the latest Euro 5/BS6 emission norms.

Weighing in at 209 kg, the RSV4 carries its weight with poise, while the Tuono 1100 is slightly leaner at 202 kg. Both bikes come equipped with top-of-the-line Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension, featuring USD forks up front and a monoshock at the rear for razor-sharp handling and ride adaptability.

Braking duties are handled by premium Brembo brakes, with radial calipers at the front and floating calipers at the rear, ensuring superior stopping power. Adding to their high-tech arsenal is the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) suite, which includes features like:
