Bajaj Chetak
Description
Bajaj has introduced the updated 2024 Chetak Premium with a starting price of ₹1.35 lakh (ex-showroom), marking a ₹20,000 premium over the recently launched Chetak Urbane. The new model brings several key upgrades, including an enhanced battery pack, extended range, and additional features. The electric scooter now boasts a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, with an optional TecPac upgrade that transforms it into a color display offering turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, call alerts, and customizable themes. The TecPac also introduces hill-hold control, while reverse mode comes as standard on the Premium variant.
Under the hood, the Chetak Premium now packs a larger 3.2 kWh battery (up from 2.9 kWh), increasing its ARAI-certified range from 108 km to 127 km. Top speed has also been raised from 63 kmph to 73 kmph, while retaining the 800 W onboard charger that delivers 15.6 km of range in just 30 minutes of charging. Design-wise, the 2024 model features subtle yet noticeable cosmetic updates, replacing many silver accents with blacked-out elements on the headlamp surround, indicator housing, grab handles, and wheels for a sleeker, more modern aesthetic.
