BMW iX1

BMW India has introduced the all-new iX1 electric SUV at an ex-showroom price of ₹66.90 lakh. Offered in a single, fully-loaded M Sport trim and the xDrive30 configuration, the iX1 becomes BMW’s second electric SUV in India following the larger iX, and the third all-electric model in its local lineup.

Built on the same platform as the latest-generation X1 launched earlier this year, the iX1 mirrors its ICE sibling in both design and cabin layout. It carries over the same modern, minimalist styling and features the signature curved display setup, which integrates a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch central touchscreen infotainment system.

On the features front, the iX1 comes comprehensively equipped. It includes adaptive LED headlamps, adaptive suspension, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, a memory function for the driver’s seat, connected car technology, hands-free parking, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system. The SUV is also packed with advanced safety features such as ADAS, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Powering the iX1 is a 66.4 kWh battery coupled with dual electric motors—one on each axle—delivering a combined output of 308 bhp and 494 Nm of torque. This setup allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds. It offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 440 km on a full charge and supports charging via 11 kW AC and up to 130 kW DC fast charging.

Every iX1 purchase includes a complimentary 11 kW wall box charger. Using this charger, the battery can be recharged from 0 to 100% in approximately 6.3 hours. Meanwhile, a 130 kW DC fast charger can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in just 29 minutes. BMW owners also gain access to fast-charging infrastructure available at BMW dealerships in 35 cities across India.
