Description

BMW Group India rolled out the 2023 facelift of its flagship SUV, the BMW X7, in January 2023. Now available in two variants – the petrol-powered X7 xDrive40i M Sport and the diesel-powered xDrive40d M Sport – the updated X7 is priced at ₹1.22 crore and ₹1.25 crore (ex-showroom) respectively. This luxury SUV takes on rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7, and Land Rover Range Rover Sport in the Indian market.

Refreshed Design & Exterior Enhancements

The 2023 X7 comes with a host of visual upgrades compared to its predecessor. Leading the facelift are sleek new split LED headlamps, where the LED DRLs sit above the main headlights, giving the front fascia a sharper, more aggressive appeal. The iconic kidney grille and front bumper have been subtly restyled, enhancing its muscular stance. At the rear, the SUV gets 3D LED taillights linked by a chrome strip, a redesigned bumper, and twin exhaust ports, all sitting on a new set of stylish alloy wheels.

Upgraded Cabin with Next-Gen Tech

Step inside, and the cabin greets you with the new BMW Curved Display, which is the centerpiece of the updated dashboard. Part of the BMW Live Cockpit Professional, it features a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen alongside a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The system runs the latest iDrive Operating System 8, controllable via touch, voice, or gesture, and supports wireless smartphone connectivity.

BMW has also packed in an array of connected features, including BMW ID, Digital Key, Emergency Call, Remote Services, Real-time Traffic Info, and smartphone-enabled remote parking. A new ambient light bar spanning the dashboard offers 14 color options, while crystal-inspired elements on the gear selector, iDrive knob, audio dial, and start/stop button elevate the luxury feel.

Comfort & Utility

Adding to the opulence is the Sky Lounge panoramic sunroof, extending all the way to the third row, along with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The split tailgate now supports hands-free operation, and with the rear seats folded, the X7 offers a massive 2,120 litres of boot space.

Powertrains & Performance

Under the hood, the facelifted X7 continues with its powerful 3.0-litre inline-six engines.

  • The petrol xDrive40i variant makes 375 bhp and 520 Nm of torque, while

  • The diesel xDrive40d delivers 335 bhp and a whopping 700 Nm of torque.

Both are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and feature BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system as standard, ensuring robust performance across terrains.
