Kawasaki Z900RS
Description
Kawasaki India has launched the 2024 Z900RS at a price of Rs. 16.80 lakh (ex-showroom). This neo-retro motorcycle blends classic design cues with modern-day technology, drawing heavy inspiration from the legendary 1972 Kawasaki Z1. For 2024, the Z900RS is offered in a single striking colour option — Metallic Diablo Black.
Staying true to its retro roots, the design of the Z900RS includes a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, round LED headlamp, tail cowl with LED taillight, and analog-style twin dials for the speedometer and tachometer, complemented by a multifunctional LCD screen. Additional styling elements include a side-slung exhaust, flat cast-spoke wheels, and a single-piece seat, all of which contribute to its nostalgic appeal.
Powering the Z900RS is a 948cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine, which delivers 110 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 98.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and meets the latest emission regulations.
For performance and safety, the Z900RS is equipped with dual semi-floating 300 mm front disc brakes, a 250 mm rear disc, and advanced features such as dual-channel ABS, Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), and an assist and slipper clutch.
The suspension setup includes inverted front forks and a rear mono-shock, offering a refined ride quality. The bike has a seat height of 835 mm and tips the scale at 215 kg.
With its unique combination of retro aesthetics and modern performance, the 2024 Kawasaki Z900RS stands out as a stylish and capable machine for riders who appreciate heritage blended with innovation.
