Maruti Suzuki eVX
Description
Maruti Suzuki’s First Electric Car – eVX – Set for Production Debut in January 2025
Maruti Suzuki has officially confirmed that its first all-electric vehicle for the Indian market, the eVX, will make its production debut in January 2025. The journey of the eVX started back in early 2023, when it was first revealed as a concept. A more refined, near-production version was later showcased at the Japan Mobility Show, giving us a better idea of what to expect.
🌍 Tested Worldwide, Built for the Globe
The eVX has been undergoing rigorous testing, both on Indian roads and internationally, as Maruti Suzuki prepares to launch it in several global markets. While the concept versions showcased a sleek, futuristic design with standout Y-shaped LED lighting, recent test mules suggest the final version may feature more conventional headlamp styling.
🚗 A Peek Inside
Spy shots of the test vehicles have also given us a glimpse of the interior. The eVX is expected to come with a dual-screen setup on the dashboard, along with vertically oriented AC vents and a rotary dial gear selector on the center console — adding a premium, tech-forward feel to the cabin.
📏 Size, Power, and Range
Based on the concept’s dimensions, the eVX will be roughly:
-
4.3 meters long
-
1.8 meters wide
-
1.6 meters tall
It’s being built on a dedicated EV platform, and the concept version packs a 60 kWh battery with a claimed range of up to 550 km. The production version is expected to stay close to these numbers, offering impressive range and practicality for everyday use.
