TVS Radeon

TVS has brought a touch of retro flair to the commuter segment with the launch of the Radeon, a practical and stylish motorcycle starting at ₹62,930 in India. Available in three variants—Radeon Drum – BS-VI, Radeon Commuter Bike of the Year – Drum, and Radeon Commuter Bike of the Year – Disc—the top-end model is priced at ₹68,931.

Powering the Radeon is a 109.7cc BS6-compliant, air-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine that produces 8.19 bhp at 7350 rpm and 8.7 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. The engine, which nearly displaces 110cc, is designed to deliver improved fuel efficiency, with TVS claiming a 15% mileage boost over the previous BS4 version. With a 10-litre fuel tank and a claimed mileage of 69.3 kmpl, the bike offers a potential range of over 600 km on a full tank.

Weighing in at 116 kg, the Radeon features drum brakes at both ends in most variants, supported by TVS’ Synchronized Braking Technology (SBT). The top variant, however, comes equipped with a front disc and rear drum brake setup. Other notable features include a USB charging port, LED DRLs, a side-stand indicator with a beeper, and electric start across all variants. The bike rides on alloy wheels and is designed with daily practicality in mind.

Visually, the Radeon draws inspiration from the Royal Enfield Classic, especially with its rubber tank grips and overall retro styling. The 10-litre fuel tank is decorated for a more premium appearance, and TVS offers a 5-year warranty to enhance the bike’s value proposition.

Adding to its appeal is a wide colour palette, with 10 shades available, including new additions like Volcano Red and Titanium Grey. The Radeon goes head-to-head with other popular commuter bikes like the Bajaj Platina 110, Hero Splendor iSmart 110, Hero Splendor Plus, and Hero HF Deluxe i3S, making it a strong contender in the budget commuter segment.
