Volkswagen Virtus Launched in India – Bold, Powerful, and Packed With Features

After much anticipation, Volkswagen has finally launched the Virtus sedan in India, with prices starting at ₹11.47 lakh (ex-showroom). The stylish new sedan is available in two distinct trims – Dynamic Line and Performance Line – offering a mix of comfort, power, and performance to suit different driving styles.

🚗 Two Lines, Multiple Choices

The Dynamic Line comes in three variants – Comfortline, Highline, and Topline – priced between ₹11.47 lakh and ₹18.56 lakh. These models run on a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, delivering a punchy 113 bhp and 175 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic.

For those who crave more power, the Performance Line is where the action is. Offered in a single variant – GT Line – this version packs a 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, churning out an impressive 148 bhp and 250 Nm. It also comes with a slick 7-speed DSG automatic as standard and features Active Cylinder Deactivation for efficiency without sacrificing performance.

✨ Head-Turning Design

On the outside, the Virtus is a stunner. A sleek chrome-lined grille, sharp LED headlamps, and a muscular bumper give it a bold road presence. The Performance Line takes it up a notch with GT badging, blacked-out styling, and sporty all-black alloys, while the Dynamic Line offers dual-tone wheels. At the rear, it sports smoked LED tail lamps, chrome detailing, and a sculpted bumper.

The Virtus is also available in a vibrant color palette including Wild Cherry Red, Candy White, Carbon Steel Grey, Curcuma Yellow, Reflex Silver, and Rising Blue Metallic.

🛋️ Spacious and Feature-Rich Cabin

Step inside, and you’re greeted with a premium, spacious cabin done in dual-tone black and beige. The Performance Line adds a sportier touch with red accents. Tech lovers will appreciate the 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

Creature comforts include ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and even an electric sunroof. Boot space is a class-leading 521 litres, expandable to 1,050 litres with foldable rear seats (plus a 60:40 split in the GT).
